Bradley Jaden to make Broadway debut in 'Wanted'

The breakout star of the recent Les Misérables arena tour will join Liisi LaFontaine, Solea Pfeiffer, Ledisi, and more in the cast of the new musical.

West End theatre star Bradley Jaden will make his Broadway debut in the new musical Wanted this fall, playing the role of Jesse. Wanted starts performances October 15 ahead of a November 8 opening at the James Earl Jones Theatre.

Jaden recently received critical acclaim for his performance as Javert in the world tour of Les Misérables: The Arena Concert Spectacular, including at Radio City Music Hall earlier this month. He rose to fame for starring in numerous musicals in London's West End, including Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends, Les Misérables as Javert, and Wicked as Fiyero. He's also played Billy Flynn in the 30th-anniversary production of Chicago in Japan and Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera in Italy.

In Wanted, Jaden joins previously announced stars Liisi LaFontaine as Mary Clarke, Solea Pfeiffer as Martha Clarke, Ledisi as Tallulah Clarke, Luke James as Elijah, Aurelia Williams as Sissy, and Awa Sal Secka as Flo.

Set in 1893 Texas, Wanted tells the true story of Mary and Martha Clarke, two Black sisters who passed as white and became outlaws to save their mother from crushing debt.

The musical has a book and lyrics by Angelica Chéri, a descendant of the Clarkes; music by Ross Baum; direction by Stevie Walker-Webb; and choreography by Chelsey Arce. The full Wanted cast and creative team has yet to be announced.
