In usual New York City fashion, the frigid weather is reminding us all that we’re well in the middle of winter, which means finding things to do in NYC that let you stay warm and cozy inside. In our opinion, one of the best winter activities is getting tickets to a Broadway show, but to broaden your horizons, we also scoped out some more of the best things happening around town this January. Whether it’s theatre-adjacent events like Broadway actors performing an ABBA concert or taking part in an annual favorite event like the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, there are plenty of things to do in New York this month to escape the cold.

And, while you’re at it, add a Broadway show to your itinerary — January is one of the best months to score tickets, after all.
