The clocks are springing forward, and with the added hour of sunlight comes extra time to take advantage of the many things to do in NYC this month. From a special 15th anniversary performance of The Book of Mormon to a special Women's History Month exhibit at the Museum of Broadway, there is plenty for Broadway fans to take advantage of right now. And March in New York City wouldn’t be complete without the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade that runs along Fifth Avenue.

Lady Gaga at Madison Square Garden

Date and venue: March 19, March 20, and April 13 at Madison Square Garden

Little Monsters of NYC get their second chance to see Lady Gaga as she returns to Madison Square Garden with the Mayhem Ball. The Emmy, Grammy, and Oscar-winning superstar is touring her most recent album, Mayhem, and treating fans to an immersive show that’s everything they can expect from Lady Gaga and more. Expect to hear old hits like “Poker Face,” “Bad Romance,” and “Born This Way,” plus new tracks like “Disease,” Abracadabra,” and “Garden of Eden.”

Bridgerton Candlelight Evenings

Date and venue: March 6, 7, and 13 at the Edge

If you’ve already finished Bridgerton season 4, you need to check out this intimate candlelight performance. The Bridgerton Candlelight Evenings are happening on select nights in March at the Edge, the Hudson Yards observation tower with 360-degree views of Manhattan. Each performance will take place on the indoor skydeck and feature a live orchestra playing songs from the show. Tickets are available online.

The Orchid Show: Mr. Flower Fantastic's Concrete Jungle

Date and venue: Now through April 26 at New York Botanical Garden

Now that the Holiday Train Show is over at the New York Botanical Garden, it’s time for the next highly-anticipated exhibit: the Orchid Show. This year, NYBG’s theme is Mr. Flower Fantastic’s Concrete Jungle, using stunning orchids to recreate New York City, from subway stations to slice shops.

Mr. Flower Fantastic is a popular flower artist known for blending florals and street style, so there’s possibly no person better equipped to turn NYC into a flower-filled extravaganza. It’s easy to get to from the Theatre District — just a subway or Metro North ride from Grand Central.

The Book of Mormon 15th anniversary performance

Date and venue: March 19 at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre

It’s been 15 years since The Book of Mormon first said hello to Broadway — and now the show wants to celebrate with fans. On March 19, there will be a special 6 p.m. performance featuring audience giveaways, guest appearances, and more surprises to come.

The Vessel reopens

Date and venue: March 9 at Hudson Yards

The Vessel at Hudson Yards is reopening for the season this month, offering visitors panoramic views from its honeycomb-like structure. Take advantage of a sunny spring day by climbing this jungle gym-esque landmark. New York City residents can visit it for free on Thursdays with proof of ID.

Haselden’s Sangria at Bond 45

Date and venue: Ongoing at Bond 45

Bond 45 is a popular restaurant for theatregoers since it’s right in the middle of all the Broadway theatres. It frequently offers special menu items, and right now, a special drink called Haselden’s Sangria is available in honor of the musical Operation Mincemeat. It’s a red sangria with a little fizz, and it’s named after the real-life British Vice-Consul involved with the real-life Operation Mincemeat and referenced in the show.

New York International Children's Film Festival

Date and venue: March 13 at various cinemas

Film festivals aren’t only for cinema buffs. The New York International Children's Film Festival (NYICFF) is designed for kids to enjoy movies from across the world, for ages 5 and up. See animated movies and feature films from Japan, Brazil, Belgium, France, and more. Plus, the festival also offers short film series broken up into categories, including ones for kids under 6 and shorts centered around Latinx stories, Black stories, Native and Indigenous stories, and more. Mamma Mia! brunch

Date and venue: Sundays through March 22 at Ellen’s Stardust Diner

Mamma mia, here we go again — to brunch! The famous Ellen’s Stardust Diner, featuring singing waitstaff, is kicking off a ticketed brunch event inspired by the hit musical. With themed dishes liked “Gimme, Gimme, Gimme Chicken + Waffles” and “Chiquitita Chilaquilies,” you can turn your day into a Mamma Mia! celebration by seeing the show at the Winter Garden Theatre next door afterward. The Knockouts Women’s Comedy Festival 2026

Date and venue: March 2-8 at various venues

Date and venue: March 7-15 at the New Victory Theater

Breakdancing crew ILL-Abilities is coming to the New Victory Theater, a children's theatre venue, to put on a dance party the entire family will enjoy. With its members coming from all across the world, the ILL-Abilities showcased their skills at the Olympics and Paralympics in Paris, and now, they’re touring the world, teaching audiences there is no limit to what they can do. Arrive early as the New Victory Theater has lobby activities for kids before the show starts.

Flamenco Festival

Date and venue: February 26 to March 8 at various venues

The two-week-long Flamenco Festival returns to New York City for its 25th year, bringing together major names and rising stars to watch in this traditional Spanish dance style for unforgettable live performances. Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels Festival

Date and venue: Through March 21 at New York City Center

Since 2023, the Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels Festival has celebrated contemporary dance with performances and workshops. This year, the festival is back, with the Lyon Opera Ballet kicking it off, which blends two different choreographies with technological elements like projected imagery. Visit the MoMA PS1 for free

Date and venue: Now through 2028 at MoMA PS1

For the first time, all visitors, not just New Yorkers, can go to the MoMA PS1 for free. Just a short 7 train ride from Times Square, the Queens art museum, an offshoot of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in Midtown, highlights rotating exhibits throughout the year.

Stripped: Fleetwood Mac

Date and venue: March 13 at The Cutting Room

Broadway stars will perform stripped-down versions of Fleetwood Mac songs like “Rhiannon,” “Landslide,” “Go Your Own Way,” and more in this special show. Actors from musicals like The Great Gatsby, Titanique, Heathers, and more will deliver their own takes on these classic songs, backed by an acoustic band. Tickets are available online.

The New York Pops's The Music of US: From Then to Now

Date and venue: March 13 at Carnegie Hall

Honoring the many genres of American music, the New York Pops will play a medley of sounds during this performance. Expect to hear everything from Indigenous and Appalachian folk music to ragtime, rock ‘n’ roll, and R&B. The performance is part of Carnegie Hall’s United in Sound program that celebrates the U.S.’s 250th anniversary.

Broadway After Dark: The Curtain Call Crawl

Date and venue: Nightly at 11 p.m. following Broadway shows

This unique late-night crawl kicks off the minute you leave your Broadway theatre, where you’ll be met by a fabulous drag queen as your guide. The 2-hour private tour meanders through Hell’s Kitchen and is filled with surprises at every turn, including live performances.

Broadway After Dark: The Curtain Call Crawl promises Broadway stories and “insider tea” in addition to cocktails and plenty of glam. Tickets start at $69 per person, and you must book as a group.
