Aurelia Williams and Awa Sal Secka have joined the cast of Wanted on Broadway, playing the roles of maids Sissy and Flo. The new musical begins performances October 15 ahead of a November 8 opening at the James Earl Jones Theatre.
Williams previously played Sissy in Wanted's pre-Broadway production at the Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey, and Secka originated the role of Flo in the world-premiere production at Signature Theatre in Virginia.
They join previously announced stars Liisi LaFontaine as Mary Clarke, Solea Pfeiffer as Martha Clarke, Ledisi as Tallulah Clarke, and Luke James as Elijah in the Broadway cast.
Wanted tells the true story of Mary and Martha Clarke, two Black sisters who pass as white and become outlaws to save their family. The musical features a book and lyrics by Angelica Chéri, a descendant of the Clarkes; music by Ross Baum; direction by Stevie Walker-Webb, and choreography by Chelsey Arce.
