Mark Ballas to return to ‘Chicago’ on Broadway

Dancing With the Stars pro Mark Ballas will return to play Billy Flynn in Chicago on Broadway from July 20 to August 16 only.

Ballas previously played Billy earlier this year opposite his 2025 DWTS celebrity partner,Whitney Leavitt, as Roxie Hart. He has been on the competition show for nearly 20 years, winning three times, and has also starred in Jersey Boys and Kinky Boots on Broadway.

He succeds comedian Matteo Lane, who will play Billy from June 22 to July 19. Nik Walker currently performs the role.

Chicago follows two murderesses, housewife Roxie and vaudevillian Velma, who compete for the sympathy of the public, the coverage of the press, and the attention of slick lawyer Billy Flynn in order to get acquitted — and famous. Having run since 1996, Chicago is the longest-running production currently on Broadway and will celebrate its 30-year anniversary in November.
