Kevin McHale stars as William Barfée in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee off Broadway at New World Stages.
McHale previously made his stage debut as William in Spelling Bee at the Kennedy Center in D.C., and he makes his NYC debut with the Off-Broadway transfer. In London, he played Xanthias in a revival of Stephen Sondheim's The Frogs at Southwark Playhouse Borough.
He is best known, however, for his role as Artie Abrams on the TV series Glee, earning nominations for a Grammy Award, three Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series (winning once), and two Teen Choice Awards. Additional TV credits include The Office, When We Rise, and American Horror Stories.
McHale is also a musician, formerly a part of the boy band NLT and now a solo artist whose first album, Boy, was released in 2019.
