Feed me more, Seymour! Tony Award nominee Ethan Slater is sticking around Skid Row for some more time. Emmy Award nominee T.R. Knight (Grey’s Anatomy, Stranger Things: The First Shadow), who was previously announced to take over the role later this month, has departed the production. Slater extends his run and currently performs in Little Shop of Horrors off Broadway alongside Betsy Wolfe and Claybourne Elder; Tony-nominated for her role in Chess, Hannah Cruz will take over as Audrey beginning October 27, 2026.

“Although I will no longer be joining Little Shop of Horrors, I celebrate the magical legacy created by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, and send my brightest wishes to Hannah, Michael and the beautiful community that keeps feeding Audrey Two!” said Knight in a statement.

“We’re sorry that T.R. won’t be making his debut on Skid Row, and we all wish him the very best on his upcoming projects,” the producers said in a statement.

Little Shop of Horrors follows hapless flower shop worker Seymour as he makes a dark deal with a bloodthirsty plant in exchange for fame, love, and fortune. The current revival of Alan Menken and Howard Ashman's horror comedy has run to critical acclaim since 2019.
