Suddenly, Ethan and Betsy! Ethan Slater and Betsy Wolfe will be the next stars of Little Shop of Horrors off Broadway at the Westside Theatre starting July 21.
Slater, the Wicked film star and Tony nominee for playing the title role in the SpongeBob SquarePants Broadway musical, returns to the Off-Broadway stage after leading his own play Marcel on the Train earlier this year. Wolfe, an & Juliet Tony nominee, just wrapped her run in Death Becomes Her on Broadway at the end of June.
They will succeed Jordan Fisher and Nikki M. James in the roles of Seymour and Audrey. Fisher and James play their final performances on July 19.
Little Shop of Horrors is a horror comedy musical about Seymour, a shy flower shop employee who makes a dark deal with a bloodthirsty plant for fame, fortune, and the love of his coworker Audrey. The revival has run off Broadway to acclaim since 2019, winning the Drama Desk and Drama League Awards for Outstanding Revival of a Musical.
