Jon Bernthal makes his Broadway debut as Sonny Amato in Dog Day Afternoon at the August Wilson Theatre from March 10, 2026.
Bernthal is best known for his Emmy Award-winning performance on The Bear, recurring as Michael Berzatto. Earlier, he became known for starring as Shane Walsh on the first two seasons of The Walking Dead.
He has also appeared in three Marvel Cinematic Universe TV shows as Frank Castle/The Punisher: 2016's Daredevil, 2017-19's The Punisher, and 2025's Daredevil: Born Again.
Bernthal has appeared in numerous theatre productions throughout his career, including Fifth of July off Broadway and shows in cities including Boston, D.C., Los Angeles, Portland, and Moscow.
