
Don Cheadle makes his Broadway debut as Robert in Proof on Broadway at the Booth Theatre from March 31, 2026.
Cheadle is best known for his Oscar-nominated performance as Paul Rusesabagina in Hotel Rwanda and for playing James Rhodes/War Machine in eight films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, plus the TV show The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Cheadle has performed in Shakespeare’s Cymbeline and Suzan-Lori Parks's Pulitzer- and Tony-winning Topdog/Underdog off Broadway. Additionally, he won a Tony Award as a producer of A Strange Loop on Broadway, the 2022 Best Musical winner. Cheadle also has two Grammy Awards (for the Miles Ahead film soundtrack and the spoken word album Carry On: Reflections for a New Generation from John Lewis), two Golden Globes (for The Rat Pack and House of Lies) out of six nominations, and 11 Emmy nominations (for TV shows including The Rat Pack, ER, and House of Lies).
