Roundabout Theatre Company has set the full cast for The Refuge Plays, a new Off-Broadway play by Nathan Alan Davis. Performances begin September 14 ahead of an October 4 opening at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre.

Watts as Crazy Eddie, Lance Coadie Williams as Dax, and JJ Wynder as Ha-Ha.

The creative team includes set designer Arnulfo Maldonado, costume designer Emilio Sosa, lighting designer Stacey Derosier, sound designer and composer Marc Anthony Thompson, composer and vocal soundscape creator Imani Uzuri, and movement coordinator Paloma McGregor.

A co-production with New York Theatre Workshop directed by Patricia McGregor, The Refuge Plays begins when a ghost tells a woman named Gail she will die in 24 hours. The ensuing tale follows a Black family over the course of 70 years, reimaging the American family drama.
