'The Outsiders' names new Broadway cast

Several new actors will join the Tony-winning Best Musical, while some current company members will step into new roles, beginning in mid-March.

Welcome to Tulsa! The Outsiders has set new Broadway casting for performances starting March 17 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre.

Newly joining the cast are Noah Pacht as Ponyboy Curtis, Caleb Mathura as Johnny Cade, Sutton James Kaylor as Sodapop Curtis, and Nicholas McDonough as Bob. Current cast members stepping into new roles are SeQuoiia as Dallas Winston, Dan Berry as Darrel Curtis, and Victor Carrillo Tracey as Paul. Original Broadway cast members Emma Pittman (as Cherry Valance) and Daryl Tofa (as Two-Bit) continue with the show.

Also joining the cast are Runako Campbell, Brandon Lee Jordan, Abby Matsusaka, Alejandro MullerDahlberg, Logan Gray Saad, Derek Jordan Taylor and Wes Williams. The cast also includes Cameron Burke, Henry Julián Gendron, Devin Tyler Hatch, Hailey Hyde, Josh Strobl, Eli Talley, Jena VanElslander, Davis Wayne, and Cole Zieser.

As previously announced, current cast members Trevor Wayne (as Ponyboy), Sky Lakota-Lynch (as Johnny), Alex Joseph Grayson (as Dallas), Brent Comer (as Darrel), Jason Schmidt (as Sodapop), and Kevin William Paul (as Bob), along with Renni Anthony Magee, SarahGrace Mariani, and Melody Rose, will depart the production on March 15.

Adapted from S. E. Hinton's landmark novel of the same name, The Outsiders follows teenage gang members searching for belonging, brotherhood, and survival in a world that's all but left them behind. The show won Best Musical at the 2024 Tony Awards as well as Best Director of a Musical for Danya Taymor.
