The new musical is adapted from the same-named NBC TV show about the behind-the-scenes drama during the creation of a fictional Marilyn Monroe musical.

It's gonna be a smash! Take a peek behind the curtain with these photos of Smash on Broadway, a new musical comedy adapted from the same-named TV show.

Smash revolves around the making of a musical about Marilyn Monroe, showing audiences the hard work, obstacles, and backstage drama that go into getting a show on stage. Though the musical features a new plot from the TV show, it retains the fan-favorite songs from Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman and the Emmy-winning choreography by Joshua Bergasse, all under the direction of Tony Award winner Susan Stroman.

The main Smash Broadway cast includes Robyn Hurder as Ivy, Brooks Ashmanskas as Nigel, Krysta Rodriguez as Tracy, John Behlmann as Jerry, Kristine Nielsen as Susan, Caroline Bowman as Karen, Jacqueline B.
