Masquerade reimagines the blockbuster Andrew Lloyd Webber musical The Phantom of the Opera as an immersive experiences that unfolds across a five-floor venue at 218 W. 57th St. in midtown Manhattan. Audiences are brought fully into the world of the Phantom, uncovering his troubled childhood, his darkest thoughts, and, as seen in the original musical, his obsessive passion for opera ingenue Christine.
"When the fully orchestrated overture [...] exploded alongside a flash of light and a shower of confetti like broken glass, Masquerade instantly had me under its spell. I’d call it the point of no return, except I definitely hope to return," our critic wrote.
