Lisa Ann Walter to join ‘Heathers’ Off-Broadway cast

The Abbott Elementary and The Parent Trap star will make her Off-Broadway debut in the acclaimed musical revival at New World Stages beginning in April.

Welcome to Westerberg High! Lisa Ann Walter will join the cast of Heathers The Musical off Broadway this spring for performances starting on April 27.

Walter’s fan-favorite screen roles include Melissa on Abbott Elementary and Chessy in The Parent Trap, and she now makes her NYC stage debut. In Heathers, she will assume the role of Ms. Fleming/Veronica’s Mom from Kate Rockwell.

The current Heathers cast also includes Kuhoo Verma as Veronica Sawyer, Casey Likes as Jason “J. D.” Dean, Peyton List as Heather Chandler, Jackera Davis as Heather Duke, Elizabeth Teeter as Heather McNamara, Erin Morton as Martha Dunnstock, Xavier McKinnon as Ram Sweeney, Cade Ostermeyer as Kurt Kelly, Adam Bashian as Ram’s Dad/Big Bud Dean/Coach Ripper, and Jimmy Ray Bennett as Kurt’s Dad/Veronica’s Dad/Principal Gowan.

As previously announced, Verma will depart the show April 13, and Likes and List will depart April 26. Isabella Esler, John Cardoza, and Zan Berube will star as Veronica, J.D., and Chandler from April 27.

The Heathers musical is adapted from the cult-classic 1988 movie about high school nobody Veronica, whose high school experience turns upside down when she gets inducted into the exclusive Heathers clique and meets J.D., who doesn’t exactly kill for popularity.

Heathers is currently scheduled to play at New World Stages through September 6.
