Broadway, full speed ahead! Titanique, the gloriously over-the-top musical spoof of the Hollywood blockbuster Titanic, is sailing into the St. James Theatre, motored the immortal songs of Céline Dion and a cast featuring Jim Parsons and Deborah Cox.

Hailed as “a boatload of fun” by New York Theatre Guide in a four-star review of its 2022 Off-Broadway premiere, the show lets the Canadian pop goddess do the talking — and belting. She retells James Cameron’s cinematic epic of the ill-fated 1912 ocean liner, and Jack and Rose's doomed love affair, as only she can. Expect vocals bigger than any iceberg!

Beginning March 26, the award-winning production is directed by Tye Blue, who created the show with two of its stars: Marla Mindelle (Dion) and Constantine Rousouli (Jack).

Major productions of Titanique

Titanique’s theatrical voyage has been going on for nearly a decade en route to Broadway. Noteworthy productions of the show have dropped anchor around the globe.

  • 2017 concert: The musical premiered at Los Angeles's Sorting Room Theater as a one-night-only experience titled Titanique: In Concert on December 14.
  • 2018 concert: The show had a limited engagement at New York City's Green Room 42 in August, as well as an encore run in November and December.
  • 2022 Off-Broadway premiere: Titanique premiered off Broadway in June at the Asylum Theatre. That November, the show transferred to the Daryl Roth Theatre, where it ran until June 2025.
  • 2024 Australian premiere: A Sydney production at The Grand Electric ran nine months starting in September.
  • 2024 Canadian premiere: In October, monthlong run took place at the Segal Centre for Performing Arts in Montreal. In December, it transferred to the CAA Theatre in Toronto and later returned to the Segal Centre for a two-week encore.
  • 2024 London premiere: The show debuted in London's West End in at the Criterion Theatre, where it is slated to run through June 7, 2026.
  • 2025 Chicago premiere: Blue directed a production at the Broadway Playhouse that ran from March 25 to July 13.

  • 2023 Lucille Lortel Awards: The Off-Broadway production won for Outstanding Musical, Lead Performer (Mindelle), and Costume Design (Alejo Vietti). It also earned nominations for Outstanding Featured Performer and Outstanding Choreography.
  • 2023 Off Broadway Alliance Award: Titanique won for Best Musical.
  • 2024 Obie Awards: Mindelle was honored for her performance as Céline Dion.
