Amanda Reid to star in 'Hell's Kitchen' on Broadway
The actress, who is currently an understudy in Alicia Keys's Tony Award-winning musical, will take over the leading role of Ali at the Shubert Theatre.
There's nothing she can't do! Amanda Reid will star as Ali in Hell's Kitchen on Broadway beginning May 27 at the Shubert Theatre.
Reid is currently making her Broadway debut as an understudy for various roles in Hell's Kitchen. She will now assume the leading role originated by Maleah Joi Moon, who won a 2024 Tony Award for her performance and departed the production on March 30. Jade Milan currently plays Ali through May 25.
The Hell's Kitchen cast also includes Jessica Vosk as Jersey, nine-time Grammy nominee Durrell “Tank” Babbs as Davis, 2024 Tony Award winner Kecia Lewis as Miss Liza Jane, and Phillip Johnson Richardson as Knuck.
Featuring the hit songs of Alicia Keys, Hell's Kitchen is loosely inspired by the 17-time Grammy winner's upbringing in the title NYC neighborhood. The coming-of-age story follows 17-year-old Ali as she chases romance, seeks independence, and discovers her passion for music.
