The 79th annual Tony Awards ceremony is underway at Radio City Music Hall, celebrating the best of the 2025-26 Broadway season. Select winners are currently being announced on the pre-show titled The Tony Awards: Act One, streaming live on PlutoTV through 8 p.m., with the main ceremony telecast on CBS and Paramount+ from 8-11 p.m. E.T.

In addition to the competitive awards, multiple special award recipients were announced in the weeks prior to the ceremony. The 2026 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre were awarded to production manager Jake Bell; designer and creative director Kenn Lubin; theatre lawyer Loren Plotkin; and 1/52 Project, a grant for early-career designers from marginalized groups.

Lifetime Achievement Awards went to former Lincoln Center Theater artistic director André Bishop, lighting designer Jules Fisher, and playwright/director James Lapine. Music director Mary-Mitchell Campbell won the Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award for humanitarian work. Ellenwood, Georgia middle school theatre teacher Freddie Hendricks won the Excellence in Theatre Education Award, and the American Players Theatre in Spring Green, Wisconsin won the Regional Theatre Tony Award.
