
Tessa Thompson makes her Broadway debut as Jacki in The Fear of 13 on Broadway at the James Earl Jones Theatre from March 19, 2026.
Thompson is best known for playing the title role of the 2025 film Hedda (Golden Globe nomination), based on the Henrik Ibsen play Hedda Gabler; Bianca Taylor in the Creed films; and Valkyrie in multiple Marvel films including Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder.
She earned a Rising Star BAFTA nomination in 2017 and a second nod in 2021 for her role in Passing. She executive produced and starred in the 2020 movie Sylvie's Love, earning her first Emmy nomination.
Additional major screen credits include Boots Riley's independent film Sorry to Bother You, Ava DuVernay's Selma, and the comedy-drama film Dear White People.
Thompson made her Off-Broadway debut in Second Stage Theater's 2016 production of Smart People.
