
Ne-Yo makes his Broadway debut as Davis in Hell's Kitchen at the Shubert Theatre from December 4, 2025.
Ne-Yo (Shaffer Chimere Smith) is a three-time Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter and 2000s R&B icon. Since releasing his quadruple-platinum 2005 debut single “So Sick,” he became known for songs like “Give Me Everything” (diamond-certified, featuring Pitbull and Afrojack), “Sexy Love,” “Closer,” “Because of You,” “Miss Independent,” “Mad,” “Let Me Love You,” and “Time of Our Lives.” He has also written songs for artists like Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Celine Dion, and Mario.
In theatre, he played the Tin Man on NBC's The Wiz Live! in 2015.
