Couric is a Television Hall of Fame inductee for her extensive work in broadcast journalism. She has hosted news programs on all "Big Three" television networks — ABC, CBS, and NBC — and was the first solo female anchor of a major network's evening news program (for CBS).

She was also Yahoo's Global News Anchor for four years, hosted the daytime talk show Katie, and became the first female Jeopardy! host in history during a 2021 guest hosting stint.
