John Carroll Lynch makes his Broadway debut as Creon in Oedipus on Broadway at Studio 54 from October 30, 2025 to February 8, 2026.
Since gaining prominence as Norm Gunderson in the Coen Brothers' Oscar-winning film Fargo, Lynch has played notable TV roles including Steve Carey on The Drew Carey Show and Twisty the Clown, among other characters, on American Horror Story.
Additional film credits include Zodiac; Gran Torino; Shutter Island; Crazy, Stupid, Love; and The Trial of the Chicago 7, among many others. In 2017, he directed his first film, Lucky.
While Oedipus marks Lynch's Broadway debut, the actor spent more than eight seasons as a company member of the Minneapolis-based Guthrie Theater, starring in several productions at the institution's Minnesota venue and on tour.
