
Jacques C. Smith stars as Mafala Hatimbi in The Book of Mormon on Broadway at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. His other Broadway credits include Rent as Benjamin Coffin III and If/Then as Stephen, and he has appeared in national tours of The Book of Mormon, If/Then, and Rent. His regional theatre work includes performances at The Old Globe, Goodman Theatre (where he received a Black Theater Alliance Award and Jefferson nomination), Pasadena Playhouse (FRED Award, NAACP nomination), Ebony Repertory Theatre (Ovation Award), Paper Mill Playhouse, and La Jolla Playhouse. His television credits include series regular work on HBO's Oz, as well as appearances on CSI: Miami, Law & Order, and ER.
