Ariana DeBose stars as Genevieve in The Baker's Wife off Broadway at Classic Stage Company from October 23 to December 14, 2025.
DeBose is best known for her Academy Award, BAFTA, Critics Choice, and SAG Award-winning performance as Anita in Steven Spielberg's West Side Story movie musical. She got her start, however, on Broadway, performing in the ensemble of Hamilton and starring as Disco Donna in Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, earning a Tony Award nomination. Additional Broadway credits include the musicals Pippin, Motown, A Bronx Tale, and Bring It On.
DeBose has also appeared in the musical TV show Schmigadoon!, the movie musical The Prom, and other films including Love Hurts with Ke Huy Quan. She hosted the Tony Awards in 2022, 2023, and 2024, earning Emmy nominations for Outstanding Variety Special for the latter two years.
