In this story of triumph, class, and the strenght of the human spirit, audiences can expect to meet favorite characters from the novel, some of Dickens’ most memorable ones: there's the hardy Aunt Betsey Trotwood, the loyal Peggotty family, the singular Mr. Micawber, the gentle Agnes Wickfield, the spitfire Steerforth, the innocent Dora Spenlow, and the dupeful Uriah Heep.
Tony Award nominee Gabriel Barre directs Copperfield! in New York City with a sprawling cast. Bobby Conte (Broadway: Company, The Who's Tommy, A Bronx Tale) stars as the titular character alongside an intergenerational cast including Amelia Cormack, Jed Feder, Calvin Knegten, Kara Mikula, Nancy O'Connor, Aaron Michael Ray, Will Reynolds, Alexander Sovronsky, Owen Squire Smith, Andy Taylor, Cathryn Wake, Tatiana Wechsler, Henry Witchter, Dan Piering, Kent M. THE MOST TALENTED CAST! True definition of ensemble storytelling. Was blown away by their musical talents. A challenging story to tell as a musical, but their ability to be present, play & listen really carried the piece. Stunning lighting, creative sets, beautiful costumes, smart direction. Bravo team!
Lovely and impassioned performance, but sometimes tough to digest without prior knowledge due to the dense nature of the source material.
78/100 Copperfield is very good, but not great. The large, highly talented cast acts, sings, plays instruments and dances...and the plot faithfully follows the novel (familiarity with the story helps!) A song here-and-there should be cut. And how could they reduce the great novel's question (Whether I shall turn out to be the hero of my own life?) to a search for home???!!!

Yes, the venue is fully accessible. The main entrance is wheelchair accessible, and there is an elevator to the second floor where the theater and restrooms are located. Restrooms are labeled but gender diversity is welcome. Wheelchair accessible seats are located in the first row of the theater (Row B). All other rows require the use of stairs. Trained service dogs are welcome, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

There is a large coat rack in the Gallery where belongings (bags, luggage, etc.) may be kept during the show at your own discretion. This area is not guarded. House management will collaborate with patrons using mobility aids to find the best storage location.

Are assisted listening devices available?
Infrared headsets are available for assisted listening. They may be used in any seat and are cleaned after each use. They can be picked up at the box office in exchange for your ID which will be given back when the device is returned.
