'Spring Awakening' tickets available through April 2027

Originally scheduled to play for 12 weeks only starting in November, Tony Award winner Danya Taymor's revival will now run at Studio Seaview through the spring.

Due to high demand, the upcoming Off-Broadway revival of Spring Awakening has extended at Studio Seaview, now playing an additional seven weeks through April 4, 2027.

A 24-hour presale will begin October 7 before the general onsale the following day. Spring Awakening tickets for the run's initial 12 weeks, from November 27 to February 14, are on sale now.

Spring Awakening is a coming-of-age musical set in 1891 Germany, where a group of teenagers explore their bodies, desires, and wants on their own terms when the adults refuse to teach them. Frank Wedekind's 1891 play of the same name was adapted by Steven Sater (book and lyrics) and Duncan Sheik (music), who passed away in September.

As previously announced, the Spring Awakening cast includes Jack Bateman as Georg, Jada Simone Clark as Thea, Leif Coomer as Ernst, Ryo Kamibayashi as Moritz, Ashlyn Maddox as Wendla, Nando Morland as Otto, Antonio Porciello as Hanschen, Khadija Sankoh as Martha, Grace Slear as Anna, Tyler Jordan Wesley as Melchior, and Amalia Yoo as Ilse.

The creative team, led by Tony Award Danya Taymor (The Outsiders, John Proctor Is the Villain), includes choreographer Celia Rowlson-Hall, music supervisor Or Matias, set designers Christine Jones and Brett Banakis, costume designer Kaye Voyce, lighting designer Brian MacDevitt, sound designer Cody Spencer, special effects designer Jeremy Chernick, music director and conductor Cynthia Meng, music coordinator David Lai, intimacy coordinator Ann James, fight coordinator Drew Leary, creative consultant C.A. Johnson, associate director Miranda Cornell, voice and text coach Gigi Buffington, and production stage manager Elizabeth Allen.

Taymor's production comes 20 years after Spring Awakening's Broadway premiere, when it won eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, and 11 after its first Broadway revival.
