Taking place 30 years before the TV show is set, Stranger Things: The First Shadow centers on teenage versions of fan-favorite characters like Joyce Byers (then Maldonado), Bob Newby, and Jim Hopper, whose small-town lives are shaken up by the arrival of a mysterious new family in town. The play, on Broadway following an acclaimed premiere in London, tells the origin story of one of Stranger Things's most infamous villains.
