Sam Rockwell, Marin Ireland, and Alfred Molina will star in a new production of A View from the Bridge off Broadway this fall, presented at the Ellen Stewart Theatre at La MaMa for a 13-week limited engagement starting November 27. Opening night is December 13.
A celebrated stage and screen veteran, Rockwell is best known for his performances in the films Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (Academy Award win) and Vice (Academy Award nomination), the TV miniseries Fosse/Verdon (Emmy nomination), and the Broadway play American Buffalo (Tony nomination), among numerous other credits.
Ireland is a Tony nominee for Reasons to be Pretty on Broadway also known for her role as Sissy Cooper in The Umbrella Academy. She's represented off Broadway as a playwright this summer with the return of her acclaimed show Pre-Existing Condition.
Molina is a three-time Tony nominee for Fiddler on the Roof, Art, and Red, and he was last seen on Broadway in Uncle Vanya in 2024. He is best known for playing Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus in multiple Spider-Man films and for his Emmy-nominated TV performances in The Normal Heart and Feud: Bette and Joan.
Arthur Miller’s 1955 drama centers on Eddie Carbone (Rockwell), a longshoreman whose protectiveness of his wife Beatrice’s (Ireland) orphaned niece, Catherine, gives way to jealousy and betrayal. Molina will play the role of the narrator Alfieri.
Set on the Brooklyn waterfront in the '50s, A View from the Bridge has enjoyed multiple Tony Award-winning runs on Broadway and is considered a classic American play. Neil Pepe will direct the 2026 revival, which also features scenic design by Scott Pask, costume design by Sarah Laux, lighting design by John Torres, and sound design by Palmer Hefferan.
