Return of 'School Pictures' and world premiere of 'Two Girls' set for Cherry Lane Theatre this fall

The historic theatre announces two shows to play each night beginning October 7.

The historic Cherry Lane Theatre's fall programming will include the return of School Pictures, and the world premiere of Two Girls. With previews beginning on October 7 and opening on October 18, School Pictures will be nightly at 7pm with Two Girls to follow at 9:30pm. Tickets will be sold for each show individually, and the shows are not intended as a double feature.

After a sold-out run at Playwrights Horizons in 2023, School Pictures returns to New York this fall. Written and performed by Milo Cramer and directed by longtime collaborator Morgan Green, this playful collection of poem-songs uses humor and wit to address parenting, inequality and the cruelty of puberty in the NYC school system.

The world premiere of Two Girls is written by Eliya Smith (Dad Don’t Read This, Grief Camp) and developed with experimental theater ensemble The Goat Exchange (Time Passes, Deadclass Ohio) and Cherry Lane Theatre. The production is directed by Chloe Claudel and Mitchell Polonsky and stars Claudel and Juliana Sass. The play uses verbatim dialogue from Two Girls, One Cup; one of the 2000s most infamous viral shock-porn videos to create a darkly funny two-hander that examines sex, disgust and the body.
