'Pictures From Home' to close on Broadway
Nathan Lane, Danny Burstein, and Zoë Wanamaker star in this new family drama by Sharr White, based on a photo memoir of the same name by Larry Sultan.
Sharr White's Pictures From Home will close on Broadway this month, playing its final performance at Studio 54 on April 30. The show began Broadway performances in January and was set for a strictly limited engagement.
Emmy and Tony Award winner Nathan Lane, Tony winner Danny Burstein, and Tony nominee Zoë Wanamaker play the real-life family documented in a 1992 memoir also titled Pictures From Home. Burstein plays photographer Larry Sultan, who spent 10 years photographing and interviewing his parents to get to know them more deeply, in a way he never had in childhood.
A four-star Pictures From Home review on New York Theatre Guide calls it "a rich drama about the marvels and mysteries of an ordinary family."
