New play 'The Holes' to premiere off Broadway; Robert Pattinson to executive produce

Reuniting playwright Max Wolf Friedlich and director Michael Herwitz after their acclaimed work on Job, the show will run at The Wild Project for six weeks only.

Playwright Max Wolf Friedlich and director Michael Herwitz, acclaimed for their 2023 play Job, will reunite for a new work titled The Holes, running at The Wild Project for six weeks only starting September 8. Opening night is September 22.

The Holes is a comedy set in a gentrifying city upstate, where a run-down local bar has a padlocked back room that offers pleasure, relief, and maybe something more dangerous.

The show will star Bubba Weiler (Swing State; Well, I'll Let You Go), Grantham Coleman (Macbeth, Wine in the Wilderness), and Tina Benko (Appropriate, The Rose Tattoo).

Robert Pattinson will executive produce with his production company Icki Eneo Arlo, marking the company's first foray into theatre. Hannah Getts, who co-developed The Holes as a dramaturg, and Adam Rodner will also produce.

The design team includes scenic designer Anna Grigo, lighting designer Evan C. Anderson, sound designer Brandon Bulls, costume designer Lily Cucinelli.
