Complete cast set for 'Clifford Odets’ Waiting for Lefty' off Broadway

Classic Stage Company will revive the classic 1935 drama in a new production directed by Steven Pasquale starting in October.

Classic Stage Company has named the complete cast for its fall production of Clifford Odets’ Waiting for Lefty off Broadway, running from October 15 to November 22 at CSC’s Lynn F. Angelson Theater. Opening night is November 2.

The cast includes Tony Award nominee Tala Ashe (English) as Edna, Raffi Barsoumian (Macbeth) as Joe, Adam Chanler-Berat (Next to Normal, Assassins) as Dr. Benjamin, Greg Hildreth (Chicago) as Harry Fatt, Doireann Mac Mahon (The Honey Trap) as Irv, Sahar Milani (Hound Dog) as Florrie, Tony nominee Conrad Ricamora (Oh, Mary!) as Miller, Cameron Scoggins (Nashville) as Sid Stein, and Thom Sesma (Dead Outlaw) as Dr. Barnes. Zach McNally (West Side Story) rounds out the ensemble in a featured movement role.

All the actors double as members of the ensemble, and select cast members double as musicians. The show features Mac Mahon on violin, Milani on guitar, and Scoggins on guitar and banjo.

Steven Pasquale directs Clifford Odets's 1935 play about Depression-era NYC taxi drivers planning a strike. This production, staged by Steven Pasquale in his directorial debut, newly adds movement as well as original music and arrangements by Yeller Tooth.

Waiting for Lefty also has set design by Scott Adam Davis, costume design by Márion Talán de la Rosa, lighting design by Mextly Couzin, and sound design by Palmer Hefferan.
