London's glitteriest theatre awards — the Oliviers — announced nominations.

The Olivier Awards (London's equivalent to the Tonys) announced its nominees at the beginning of the month. Top contenders include Paddington The Musical and Into The Woods, with 11 nominations each. Also in contention are Ivo van Hove's revival of All My Sons, with six nominations, as well as the Broadway hit Stereophonic and Kenrex, which makes its NYC debut in April. Broadway's original Aaron Burr is London-bound.

He's got to be in the room where it happens! Leslie Odom, Jr. is set to reprise the role he originated in the Broadway production of Hamilton for a strictly limited nine-week season in the West End, starting this July. Odom won a Tony in 2016 for his performance and just reprised it on Broadway this past fall, and we can't wait to see him bring his magic to London ahead of the musical's 10th anniversary in the West End.

Vanessa Williams set her final performance as Runway editor-in-chief.

Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives star Vanessa Williams has been leading the cast of The Devil Wears Prada since it began performances at the end of 2024. She is due to take her final bow as editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly (along with Matt Henry, the show's Nigel) on October 17. That's all.

Tarantino announced his first original West End play.

Quentin Tarantino is best known for his movies including Kill Bill, Django Unchained, Reservoir Dogs, and Pulp Fiction, but now he is turning his hand to a new West End comedy named The Popinjay Cavalier, opening in 2027. Described as a "rambunctious comedy of deception and disguise inspired by the grand swashbuckling epics of stage and screen", his play will be a treat for theatre and film avids alike.

Coming up: The Olivier Awards crowns its winners.

Next month, the crème de la crème of London theatre will come together to celebrate excellence in the West End and beyond. The awards ceremony will be hosted by comedian Nick Mohammed at the Royal Albert Hall in London, as the Oliviers mark 50 years. Keep an eye out for stars like Rachel Zegler, Jane Krakowski, Corbin Bleu, Rosamund Pike, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Bryan Cranston, and Tom Hiddleston, who have all been nominated.
