Here There Are Blueberries on Broadway tickets

In this groundbreaking play produced by Tectonic Theater Project (The Laramie Project), an album of Nazi-era photographs wound up on the desk of an archivist at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. Something about the photos was distinct from usual ones depicting this horrific era of world history, and as the narratives unraveled, more mysteries came to light — not just about that time period, but about our shared humanity.

The play went on to be a Pulitzer Prize finalist and also won the 2025 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Play. The San Francisco Chronicle called the play “masterful. Some excellent dramas might give you a physical chill or two. At Here There Are Blueberries, you might lose count of all the jolts that shoot down your arms.”

Tectonic Theater Project co-founder Moisés Kaufman conceived and directed Here There Are Blueberries on Broadway, which was co-written with Amanda Gronich. “For Tectonic Theater Project, bringing Here There Are Blueberries to Broadway is the culmination of a remarkable journey," Kaufman said in a joint statement on behalf of Tectonic. "These photographs hold a mirror up to our humanity in the most intimate and unsettling way. We have to look at them — not to understand the people in the pictures, but to better understand ourselves.”

This play "artfully tells the true tale of the pictures and their march through public consciousness," The New Yorker wrote.
