In Cat Cohen: Broad Strokes off Broadway, see Cohen as you haven't seen her before: fabulously vulnerable. This performance continues to show off Cohen's musical chops (with songs she wrote alongside David Dabbon) alongside her sterling comedy as she reflects on the stroke she suffered at age 30 thanks to a literal hole in her heart. It was a sign — and the inspiration for a new piece.

Repurposing a traumatic episode, Cohen delights with a hysterical, song-filled, brilliant show about mortality, hypochondria, and — yes — the importance of being the main character. It's a confession, it's a cabaret, and it's above all a comedy: Broad Strokes offers Cohen at her sharpest and wittiest.

Cohen is known for her daring comedy, musical skills, and many screen performances on High Maintenance, Broad City, Search Party, What We Do in the Shadows, and more. She was also named on "comedians to watch" lists by Vulture and Time Out in 2018.

Bringing her new show to the stage is star director Alex Timbers, a Tony and Golden Globe award winner. Timbers is known for more than just big musicals like Moulin Rouge! and Just in Time — he's also been working in unique events and comedy specials like Just for Us. A collaborator to the stars, he now brings Broad Strokes to New York City.
