See SAG Award winner and Emmy Award nominee John Krasinski back on stage. A new dark comedy, Angry Alan plays for ten weeks only this summer as the inaugural Studio Seaview production in Midtown. Tony Award winner Sam Gold (Fun Home, Romeo + Juliet) directs this enthralling and timely play.

What happens when a man is divorced, demoted, and drifting? See in Angry Alan off Broadway: Alan (Krasinski, star of The Office and A Quiet Place) is unstable, but the internet, and all its dark corners, is there to provide answers. But does it offer clarity, or more ways to spiral?

Premiering at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Angry Alan earned rave reviews and landed a spot on The New York Times theater critic Matt Wolf’s list of the best plays in Europe for that year, calling Penelope Skinner's one-man show “quietly breathtaking.”

“I couldn’t be more excited to be returning to off Broadway, and to be surrounded by such a force of talent in Penny and Sam is quite literally a dream scenario,” said Krasinski in a statement.

"When we created this play as a reading for the Aspen Fringe Festival, we never expected it to go on this thrilling journey, to one day find itself in the hands of the brilliant Sam Gold, the powerhouse talent of John Krasinski, and the fantastic folk at Studio Seaview,” said writer Skinner and co-creator Don Mackay. “We are so grateful and excited for the New York premiere."
