About Friends The Musical Parody
So no one told you life was gonna be this way... until Friends came along. From the creators of Full House! The Musical, Showgirls! The Musical, and Katdashians! The Musical! comes the latest off-Broadway parody and this time, they're taking on everyone's favorite friends at the Jerry Orbach Theater at the Theater Center. Get Friends! The Musical Parody tickets now.
Friends! The Musical Parody is an unauthorized send-up of the award-winning sitcom Friends. In a departure from some of the creators' other parody musicals, which mash up and recreate the events of actual episodes of their source material, the Friends! musical puts Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe into a new scenario. While the gang is hanging out at the Central Perk coffee shop, a runaway bride suddenly arrives and gets the friends swept up in her big, chaotic day.
Though the storyline is new, Friends! The Musical Parody still incorporates highlights from the show's 10 seasons, including iconic lines, jokes, and references. All the mayhem is set to songs like “The One Where We Make a Million Dollars an Episode,” “How You Doin’?,” “Oh. My. God. It’s Janice!,” “Will They or Won’t They?,” and “495 Grove Street – How Can We Afford This Place?”
The creators of Friends! The Musical Parody are Bob and Tobly McSmith, the duo behind Bayside! The Saved by the Bell Musical, 90210! The Musical, and The Office: A Musical Parody, which also plays the Theater Center on alternating days with Friends! off Broadway. On the creative team with the McSmiths is Grammy-nominated composer Assaf Gleizner, who composed the music. The trio premiered the show back in 2017, and the most recent run of Friends! The Musical Parody in New York was from July to September 2021, the kickoff of a national tour.

It was a great ,not expected it to be so freat,it was a last min choice & glad we went
I brought my partner who loves the Friends show and musical. I personally only like Friend, I am not a big fan of musicals. We both really enjoyed it though and loved the references and humor through the show. The space was smaller than what I thought but it just made it feel more intimate and engaging more than anything else. I’d recommend this show to anyone who likes musical or Friends, or if you just want to try something out of your comfort zone.
