Here comes the general — again! Christopher Jackson will return to Hamilton on Broadway this fall, reprising his Tony Award-nominated performance as George Washington from September 8 to January 3 only.
Jackson originated the role of Washington in the show both off and on Broadway, for which he won a Grammy Award as a featured vocalist on the cast album and earned his first Tony nomination. His onscreen credits include And Just Like That..., Bull, and When They See Us. He also earned an Emmy Award for composing the original song "What I Am" for Sesame Street.
